A Plastic Free Bathroom

Hi,  welcome back. I hope you are having a nice week. Today I would like to tell you something about a plastic free, or almost plastic free bathroom, and how this is very achievable nowadays. Let's start with something basic, brushing your teeth. You can start out by changing your toothpaste to a plastic-free one. There are many options nowadays, mainly in tablet form as far as I know. Then, onto the toothbrushes. Bamboo is a very populair option nowadays, and for those who don't like to hand-brush, there are now even bamboo electric toothbrushes available. For mouthwater there are not yet as many options, but they are coming. It consists of a small tablet that you let dissolve in some water while brushing your teeth, then you can use it as regular mouthwater.  The second item, or well, items, are shampoo and conditioner. Starting with some small companies producing shampoo- and conditioner-bars, now there are many big companies also trying out this concept. What I would...

Slow Fashion

This week i'd like to speak a bit about slow fashion. We live in a world where fast fashion is the norm. It seems like there are new fashion trend every week and companies are producing clothing items in huge quantities. These clothes are made from syntetic materials and are made by (mostly) underpaid and overworked people, sometimes even children! Then, my next step was to tell the people I am closest to, my boyfriend and my mom. Now, with winter on its way, I can proudly say I have only bought 2 items, and even though they are fast fashion, I know they will become staple pieces of my wardrobe and I am still quite proud of myself for the progress I have made.  Slow fashion for me, is not about ...

A Warm Welcome

Hello, My name is Jayden and I wish you a warm welcome to my blog. I am a student with the sustainability question always at the back of her mind. I also love to craft and do all kind of creative activities. A few weeks I started to wonder, why people have to choose between the feeling of luxury and the sustainability of products. Very often, these two things are not yet combined (although that will hopefully change in the future).  Now, I have a lot of ideas on how to combine crafting with ethically and sustainably sourced materials, sustainablility and luxury all together. On this blog I hope to write about those things that I do eventually come up with and will start selling.  If you would like to support me, feel free to follow me on my social media accounts or have a look in my etsy shop. All the links can be found in my linktree, which is linked under my profile. I hope you have a lovely day and rest of your week! Jayden
